Our first half was against Engadine. This was closely contested as these players are quite well matched. In our 'non-scoring' system we 'won' but a try!!!! Well done to Kalani, James and Zachary our try scorers.

The second half was played against our fellow Dolphins in 7 blue. Our team were forced to work hard in defence and rose to the challenge! All team members produced some awesome defence with strong tagging. This was coupled with some great bursts in attack. Congratulations to our try scorers Brodie, James and Luca

Our player of the match this round was Brodie for his strong defence and cover tackles. Great work!

A game under lights what an exciting way for 7 gold to commence 2011. This team has only a few boys who have moved up from 6 gold last year so is essentially a new team. We played a three way against both Oatley and our own Burraneer Blue team (Dolphins)

With only one training session under their belt these boys did their new coach Glen proud! Congratulations to Luca, who in the first few minutes scored a run-a-way tried to open the point score for the season. Tries for Round 1 came from Luca, Kalani, Zachary, James and Jack. Great work also by John for support play and his contribution in moving the ball forward.

Well done to Oliver Chandler whose excellent defence and team work resulted in him achieving our first man of the match. All boys played well. The highlight for many was receiving lollies after the came and watching their coach show off his 'party-trick' of tying a knot in his snake using only his tongue!!!
